Symmetrie is a boutique interior design and styling studio based in Launceston, Tasmania led by Sydney born interior designer Emma Heidke. The name Symmetrie reflects her approach to design, where every element is carefully considered, balanced and harmoniously designed. Often inspired by modern Australian architecture, this design studio creates clean, minimalist designs that feature natural finishes, earthy textures and quality homewares.

Emma recently completed a stunning French Provincial inspired bathroom renovation utilising the Stirling Range. This East Launceston project is a beautiful example of restrained elegance and is featured in Home Beautiful Magazine’s September 2022 issue.

We got in touch with Emma to find out why she chose to work with Castella products and to find out the inspiration behind the project.

Can you tell us a little bit about the project and the brief from the client?

The project was renovating a dated and tired bathroom and ensuite for a young family who had recently relocated from interstate. The brief was to transform the spaces into a timeless, modern blend of Hamptons / French Provincial styles.

Why did you choose Castella architectural hardware for the project?

Symmetrie consider Castella hardware for a number of projects as the range offers a number of styles, finishes and are at a great price point.

Why did you choose our Stirling range for the project?

The Stirling range fits the style of the project perfectly and the brass was a beautiful match with our brass tapware & accessories.

What is your favourite element in the overall renovation?

There is a lot I love about these spaces. The brass accents add a beautiful softness to the bathroom and ensuite and the marble herringbone tiles create the sophisticated look we were aiming to achieve.
